Biography

Lorie Marrero is the Chief Executive Organizer and creator of The Clutter Diet. She has been in the business of organizing since 2000 with her successful company LivingOrder® in Austin and San Antonio, Texas. She is a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®), one of the first in the industry to sit for the certification exam at its inaugural session in April 2007.

Lorie was inspired to create The Clutter Diet as a way to take what her team knows and put it online to help lots of people at an affordable cost.

Since both weight loss and getting organized are about making personal changes in your habits and lifestyle, Lorie created a program to help people get organized that is modeled after the same successful programs people have used to lose weight. The diet metaphor seems to resonate with people, and it's fun to lose "Clutter-Pounds."

Her company has been seen on HGTV and featured in national magazines such as Woman’s Day and American Way. She has worked with celebrities, politicians, business owners, and other very interesting clients as she has grown her business and expertise. Lorie is regularly chosen as a presenter at NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) annual conferences, and her company is a pioneer in an industry where very few businesses grow beyond a solo operation.

It's a true story that Lorie saved up her allowance to buy a label maker in fourth grade, when other students started asking her to help organize their desks. Several years after graduating from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, she entered the organizing industry with both corporate and domestic life experience.

As an active mother of two boys who has moved eleven times and has overseen the building of four homes, Lorie brings tremendous insights into residential organizing, household management, and relocations. She is also a very tech-savvy "gadget guru" who appreciates technology and its applications to everyday life. Clients and audiences love her effective style that includes memorable analogies and real-life examples.

Lorie is available for speaking engagements, product spokesperson opportunities, and product and book reviews. Please contact us at info at clutterdiet dot com.
